These plates became available in the UK in August 1963 when the letter A was added and the digit size had to be reduced to 3 in.
The same criteria applies re Beads and shapes all lettering is embossed flat digit - sharp edge. These plates are very suitable for
small classics Eg: Morris Minor, Mini's Hillman Imps etc.
Measurements
Oblong : 20 ½ in. long and 4 ½ in. high.
Square: Usually 11 ¾ in long by 8 in high.
